Christopher Radko handblown glass ornaments and home decorations are famous the world over. But little did Christopher himself know over fourteen years ago what would transpire in his life. At that time, late in the holiday season his family Christmas tree, in its new stand chosen by Christopher, came crashing down. As Christopher describes it: "The stand had buckled and the tree lay there, broken glass all around. I was heartbroken because the shattered antique ornaments represented our family's link to four generations of Christmas celebrations." The following year after much searching, Christopher found a glass blower in Poland who was willing to remake some of his lost ornaments if Christopher could create the designs for him. Christopher brought some samples home and showed them to a few close friends. Soon people everywhere wanted the ornaments! Today, Christopher Radko employs the services of nearly 3,000 glass blowers, silversmiths, and decorators all over Europe. Sturdy German, whimsical Italian, bright and shiny Polish and Czech--each ornament is hand blown and as you might well imagine each one just shimmers with extraordinary color and quality! At Skillin's our retail prices for these ornaments range from $15 to $100. Christopher's company has made over 4,000 designs and we have many of those here available for sale. Most of the early designs are now retired and not available in the open market and are worth much than their original price. This will be the case in just a few years for ornaments purchased this very holiday season.
