We will be using acrylic paint. Paints and apron provided, however, wear something you don't mind getting paint on. (Just in Case)

Your backyard provides a window into the natural world and there are a number of steps you can take to make it wildlife-friendly. Join Maine Audubon's Staff Naturalist, Doug Hitchcox, for a program to learn best practices for attracting and supporting birds in your yard throughout the winter. We'll answer questions like: Does feeding birds change their migration habits? Will they starve if you stop feeding them? Why are native plants so important for birds' survival?

January 25 - Create your own Kokedama (Japanese Moss Ball)

2PM All Locations

Originating in Japan, kokedama are the combination of a living plant and moss. Traditionally displayed sitting, they also look magical bound up with string and hanging. They are a lovely way to bring a bit of greenery indoors and can live for years. In this hands-on workshop you’ll have access to all the materials needed to make your own beautiful kokedama and will be taken step by step through the unique process. Everyone will make two kokedama to take home with them at the end of the class.
